Prebio PHGG is a low-FODMAP, water-soluble prebiotic fibre to support microbial diversity

Whats new about this AG grade of PHGG:-

A colourless, flavourless prebiotic fibre derived from the seeds of the guar plant. This powder dissolves in water and has shown to be well tolerated in individuals with bowel symptoms, including IBS and SIBO. 

Clinically, PHGG is used as:–

  • A bulking agent and prebiotic to help balance faecal movements – both constipation and diarrhoea
  • A prebiotic food source to increase Bifidobacterium and other SCFA producing bacteria
  • A dietary fibre to increase satiety

Please note that the fibre tends to settle in the tin due to its lighter volume. Please shake the tin well before opening, to aerate product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why has the formula changed? Invivo decided to switch the type of PHGG used to an ‘agglomerated’ grade. This means that the fibre dissolves much more easily in colder temperature water and is easier to take.

Why has the dose changed? The recommended serving size is still the same – 5g. Because the density of the agglomerated PHGG is lower, 5g is approximately 3 teaspoons.

How should  I take it? Mix 5g (3tsp) daily into at least 200ml of water or other beverage of choice - hot or cold. Can be added to soups or used in baking.  Stir.

Does Bio.Me PHGG have any contraindications to consider?: Bio.Me Prebio PHGG is a fibre product, all new fibres in someone’s diet should be consumed 2 hours away from existing medications.

If you have a condition which affects your ability to swallow you should ensure this is consumed with sufficient water, as per the directions on label.

What age is Bio.Me PHGG recommended for?: Bio.Me Prebio PHGG is suitable from 6 months.

Is Bio.Me PHGG suitable for vegans?: Bio.Me Prebio PHGG is suitable for vegans.

Ingredients: Sunfiber® AG (Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum) 5g (5g / 3tsp / dose)

Once opened use within 2 months. 

Directions: Mix 5g (3 tsp) daily into beverage of choice (hot or cold) or add to food. Do not exceed the recommended dose, unless advised by your healthcare professional.

PHGG is normally well tolerated, but if you have a sensitive stomach, start with half a dose and build up gradually to the full dosage. PHGG has been consumed by pregnant and lactating women for years, and it has been shown to be a safe way to improve regularity and reduce cramping and bloating. As with any supplement, however, please consult with your health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Orders over £48.99 (weighing less than 4kg) are sent on a Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. There is however the option to upgrade your shipping at checkout as follows:

  • Upgrade to Royal Mail Tracked 24 - an extra £1
  • Upgrade to APC Next Day - an extra £3.99 (exclusions apply - see HERE for details)

Orders over £200 will be shipped on a priority service and detailed at checkout. 

Orders weighing more than 4kg will need to be sent via APC at an increased cost.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds

Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes. 

You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.

When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid.  You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process.  The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
