Moducare™ is a unique combination of plant sterols and sterolins known as beta-sitosterol and beta-sitosterolin-d-glucoside. When sterols and sterolins are combined, they provide immune-balancing properties and can activate the cells that regulate the immune system.
The immune-modulating properties of the plant sterols and plant sterolins in Moducare® have been researched for over 40 years. Clinical studies include rheumatoid arthritis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), tuberculosis, and more. When your immune system is underactive, your body cannot effectively fight off infections. When your immune system is in overdrive, it can overreact to normally harmless substances like pollen, dust, or certain foods. Moducare® helps to bring overall balance to the immune system—enhancing an underactive immune system and modulating an overactive one. A balanced immune system is a strong one. What are Sterols? Sterols are fats found in every plant, whether it is a fruit or vegetable. Chemically, sterols are very similar to the animal fat cholesterol.
Animals make and use cholesterol, but plants use phytosterols.
Sterols are abundant in all plants, but because of the processing of most foods, naturally occurring sterols are leeched from plants. And even if we could eat plant foods rich in sterols, we would have to eat 500-700 grams of fresh fruits and vegetables to derive 100 grams of sterols. This makes supplementing sterols helpful.
Ten years of clinical trials at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa have revealed that the active compounds found in Moducare are potentially effective immune supporters.
One study, published in the International Journal of Immunopharmacology, showed that these sterols have a significant effect on T-cells. Another experiment showed an increase in Natural Killer Cell activity when sterols were used. Also, sterols and sterolins are able to enhance the activity of the TH1 T-helper cells, cells that control autoimmune processes. These same cells are also underactive in cases of allergies (including gut allergies): due to this under activity, the cells, which release allergic factors, go uncontrolled. Moducare® is an excellent source of plant sterols.
Phytosterols offer immune-enhancing properties and can activate the cells that regulate immunity. They have anti-inflammatory properties and can help lower the release of the stress hormone cortisol. These combined benefits of phytosterols offer significant support to daily immune system health.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
