Cytoplan Krill Oil 60 Capsules
Provides 150mg DHA, 80mg EPA & 1.5mg astaxanthin per daily dose in small, easy-to-take capsules. Friends of the Sea (FoS) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified, suitable for adults and children ages 4 years and above.
Krill Oil contains the beneficial omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, along with the naturally-occurring antioxidant astaxanthin.
Krill oil is often considered superior to fish oil as the EPA and DHA essential fats in krill are bound to phospholipids - fatty molecules present in our own body cell walls - which means they are more easily taken into cell membranes than fish oils and support the health of our own cells. One of the phospholipids in Antarctic krill oil is phosphatidylcholine, a phospholipid attached to a choline molecule, important for brain health and often depleted during pregnancy. Choline is also essential for synthesising acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter vital for memory, and supports normal liver function.
Additionally, krill oil includes astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant that helps protect against oxidative stress.
Our Antarctic krill oil has Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Friend of the Sea certifications. They are committed to maintaining the sustainability of krill within the strict guidelines of CCAMLR (The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources). Our krill is from protected waters where the krill biomass harvest is limited to 1%, to conserve this valuable food staple that sea birds, whales and other marine life rely on.
Choline contributes to normal:
- homocysteine metabolism
- lipid metabolism and
- the maintenance of normal liver function
DHA contributes to:
- the maintenance of normal brain function (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA)
- the maintenance of normal vision
DHA and EPA contribute to: - the normal function of the heart (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of EPA and DHA)
- the maintenance of normal blood pressure (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3g of EPA and DHA)
- the maintenance of normal (fasting) blood concentrations of triglycerides (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3g of EPA or 2g of DHA)
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) intake contributes to the normal visual development of infants up to twelve months of age (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 100mg of DHA).
Maternal intake of DHA contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the foetus and breastfed infants (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200mg of DHA in addition to 250mg of EPA and DHA).

We always aim to dipatch orders as quickly as possible. Orders received before 3.30pm (1.30pm cut off for Courier deliveries) will be dispatched the same day. We also cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries due to unforseen circumstances outside of our control.

Please note:
- We do not work at weekends, so orders received after the cut off times on Friday will not be dispatched until Monday (There will be special arrangements for Public Holidays when orders will be dispatched on the next working day).

- Once we have received an order it will not be possible to cancel your order, however please contact us and we will see what we can do.
- If in the unusual situation there is a problem with your order, such as a stock error or an issue with delivery, we will make contact with you to discuss options.

An Overview of Returns and Refunds
Unless faulty, you can only return a product if unopened, unused and with the original seals, packaging or tags intact. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to issue a refund for a supplement that your pet doesn't like or doesnt agree with them. All animals are unique with their own likes and dislikes.
You can return an unwanted item for a full refund (including minimum postage costs you could have chosen when placing your order) within 14 days of receiving it. You must notify us of your intention to cancel the order and you must return the item to us within 14 days of notifying us.
When returning an item, please ensure you take reasonable care as any damage in transit will result in us being unable to refund part or all of the money that you have paid. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item to us. Refunds are typically processed within 2 days of receipt of a returned item, but under certain circumstances, such as busy /holiday periods, your refund may take longer to process. The 14- day limit to request a refund does not apply to any item which is faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described at the time you placed the order. For damaged and faulty items, you have 30 days to contact us. We will cover the cost of these returns and once received will process a full refund.
